Description
The necropolis of the Nola Gate is right outside of regions IV and III. This necropolis has several tombs and schola tombs as well as 15 bodies were discovered in front of the gate from the eruption of Vesuvius. South-east of the gate 36 urn were found.

Translation:
Numerius Herennius Celsus, son of Numerius, of the Menenian tribe, duumvir with judicial power twice, staff officer, to Aesquillia Polla, daughter of Gaius, his wife. She lived 22 years. A burial place was given publicly by decree of the town councillors.

Translation:
To Marcus Obellius Firmus, son of Marcus, aedile, duumvir with judicial power.
The town councillors decreed him a burial place and 5000 sesterces for his funeral;
the inhabitants of the country district decreed him 30 pounds of frankincense and a shield, and their attendants 1000 sesterces for perfumes, and a shield.
